The Richmond Congregational Church at 20 Church Street is having a Rummage Sale from 10am to 7pm on Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturday.

The United Church of Fairfax is having a Rummage Sale at the Fairfax Community Center, 1210 Main Street, from 1pm to 6pm on Friday and from 9am to 2pm on Saturday.

Saturday, October 5th

St. Peter’s Parish, 85 Main Street in Vergennes has family-friendly bingo to benefit the Cemetery Association. It begins at 6pm. Doors open at 5pm.

Vermont Fish and Wildlife is hosting its 23rd annual Dead Creek Wildlife Day at its Wildlife Management Center, Route 17, west of Route 22A in Addison starting at 9:30am. For early birds, there is a bird banding demonstration at 7am. There will also be live critters, , exhibits, activities, retriever dogs and more for all ages. Learn more at www.vtfishandwildlife.com

The First Congregational Church of Brookfield at the corner of Ridge Road and Route 65, is having a pancake breakfast from 7am to 11am. A bake sale will also take place.

Saturday and Sunday, October 5th & 6th

Gerald K. Stoner Sculpture at Underhill Ironworks at 185 River Road is having a Fall Open Studio with more than 50 sculptures at the foot of Mount Mansfield along with gardens and crafted Halloween influences. It is part of the statewide Vermont Crafts Council Open Studio Weekend.

Tuesday, October 8th

Monkton Friends Methodist Church, 78 Monkton Ridge, is having its annual Harvest Supper on Saturday, October 12th to benefit the Church Painting Fund. There are still tickets for the Empty Bowl Dinner to benefit Spectrum Youth and Family Services. The dinner takes place at the UVM Davis Center in Burlington at 5pm. Sunday, October 13th

Holy Angels Parish of Altona, New York is having a Harvest Dinner, a bake sale and basket raffle from 11am to 5pm.

The 3rd annual Middlebury Car Show and Fall Festival takes place at Triangle Park on Main Street from 10am to 3pm with live music, food trucks and raffles. Spectators get in free.

Knights of Columbus DeGoesbriand, Council 279, is having a pancake breakfast at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, 20 Allen Street in Burlington from 9am to 11:30am. Proceeds benefit the Seminarian Scholarship Program.

Thursday, October 17th

The North Country Chamber of Commerce is holding its October Business after Hours from 5:30pm to 7pm at Kavanaugh Realty, 64 Bridge Street, Suite 1 in Plattsburgh. Ongoing: The American Red Cross is always looking for blood donations—accepting donors at the Blood Donation Center at 32 North Prospect Street in Burlington 365 days a year, and conducting Blood Drives on both sides of Lake Champlain throughout the year.  For more information, or to locate a blood drive in your community, visit RedCrossBlood.org.
