The popular summer online silent auction to benefit the Brendon P. Cousino Med47 Foundation takes place on Facebook with over 300 items up for bid.  Donations are gladly accepted.

Friday, May 10th thru Sunday, May 12th

The Lamoille County Players present “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” at 7pm Friday through Saturday and at 2pm on Sundays at the Hyde Park Opera House. Tickets are available ONLINE HERE.

Saturday, May 11th

The Aurora Chamber Singers present their Spring Concert, “Seeds of Modernism” at the College Street Congregation Church, 265 College Street in Burlington at 7:30pm.

St. Albans Town Firefighters Association is having its annual Spaghetti Supper from 5pm to 7pm at the Town Education Center, 169 Main Street. It will be drive-thru again this year at $10 per meal.

The Northwest Farmers Market in Taylor Park in St. Albans opens for the season. Featuring over 40 weekly vendors, it takes place every Saturday from 9am to 2pm through October 26th.

Volunteers are needed at the South Moriah Cemetery to clean up, plant flowers weed whack and cut brush.  Lunch will be provided.

The Westport Federated Church on Main Street is having a food and indoor/outdoor plant sale from 9am to 1pm.

Sunday, May 12th

The Knights of Columbus for St. Peter’s Parish, 85 South Maple Street in Vergennes, are having a Breakfast Buffet from 8 to 10am.

Thursday, May 16th

The Westport Federated Church on Main Street is having a chicken and biscuit dinner.  Serving starts at 4:30pm with eating in or out.  Preschoolers eat free.

Saturday, May 18th

St. Rose of Lima Church in South Hero is having a barbecue chicken take-out-only dinner to include half chicken, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, and dessert from 4:30pm to 6:30pm (or sold out).

St. Peter’s Parish, 85 Main Street in Vergennes is holding bingo.  This family-friendly event begins at 6pm.  Doors open at 5pm.

The First Congregational Church of Brookfield at the corner of Ridge Road and Route 65 is having a flea market and Bake Sale with steamed hotdogs from 9am to 3pm.

The Georgia, Vermont Memorial Day Parade and Observance is taking place starting at 10am.  Following the parade at 11am, there will be a flagpole ceremony to honor fallen veterans on the Georgia Town Common in Georgia Center.

Starting Saturday, May 18th and running through Sunday, June 16th

The 8th annual Garden Shoppe to benefit the Bredon P. Cousino Med47 Foundation is open daily for plants, hanging baskets, veggies, perennials plus garden and home décor.

Saturday, June 8th

The 34th annual Jiggety Jog 5k presented by North Country Federal Credit Union takes place at Malletts Bay School in Colchester.  Registration begins at 8am and the run/walk starts at 9am.  Help raise money for the McClure Miller Respite House, providing compassionate end-of-life care for over 30 years.

Ongoing: The American Red Cross is always looking for blood donations—accepting donors at the Blood Donation Center at 32 North Prospect Street in Burlington 365 days a year, and conducting Blood Drives on both sides of Lake Champlain throughout the year.  For more information, or to locate a blood drive in your community, visit RedCrossBlood.org.
